UK-BASED CAMPAIGN, ONLINE AND MAINSTREAM MEDIA, 2009 

ISSUE

Financial transaction tax to fund development projects 

OBJECTIVE

To popularise a tiny tax on banks that would raise billions of dollars to tackle poverty and address climate change around the world. 

SOLUTION

Oxfam sought the creative guidance of film writer/director and founder of Comic Relief, Richard Curtis, who created the Robin Hood Tax campaign and, in turn, hired me to help out. We played with the ‘simplicity’ and ‘visionary’ nature of the Robin Hood imagery to promote the campaign and people across the UK, US and Europe joined in to demand the banks pay their fair share.
